World’s most expensive yacht worth £3 billion
A gold-plated superyacht is said to be the world’s most expensive — worth a staggering £3 billion.
The British-designed vessel is finished with 100 tonnes of gold — covering more than half its surface.
According to The Sun, the 100-foot yacht, known as The History Supreme, features sleeping quarters covered in platinum and a statue made from the bone of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Its deck, dining areas, rails and anchor were also made from precious metals, including platinum.
The History Supreme was designed by luxury jewellery designer Stuart Hughes.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s 533-foot Eclipse, which has its own missile defence system and escape submarine, is the world’s biggest private yacht — but at £750 million, it’s a cheap buy compared to this beauty.
Hughes, 40, who took three years to build the History Supreme for a Malaysian businessman, said: “It was probably the most mammoth task ever.”
He added: “I’ve covered all sorts of things in gold but this has got to be my most ambitious project yet. This will never be topped.
“The businessman just approached us and asked us whether we could do it. He wanted a plane doing as well, but the thing would never take off if we did.
“So he said, ‘Can you do the yacht?’ and I said, ‘We’ll give it a crack.’ Then it was pretty much a case of can you make this gold, can you make that gold?
“We just did what we were told and are delighted with the result.”
The yacht was built in Italy and completed in Malaysia two weeks ago.

Kanye West’s NY Fashion Week debut!
We hear rumours, from excellent sources, that the hip hopper has been squirreling away on his New York Fashion Week debut womenswear collection for months now, and has employed some key Brits to help him achieve critical success. With studios in both East London and New York, Kanye has apparently hired knit-wear supremo, Louise Goldin, to oversee design, St Martins MA legend, Louise Wilson, has been giving him one-to-one tuition – which explains his previous declarations that he wanted to study at the prestigious art school - and assumptions are that he has hired a very established stylist to work as a consultant. Plus, judging by his phenomenal music success, Kanye won’t leave anything to chance, so we imagine that there is already a full line-up ready to go. Now, that’s just what other NY designers who are still toiling their first looks need to hear! Mr West, finally, welcome to the industry.
